Your pet is a character in the game which walks (or runs or flies or hops or swims) in the different game rooms. Each time you spin the reels, your pet walks a certain distance(I will call the distance "steps"). This distance depends upon the number of lines you are betting on in the particular Room. The maximum default is 3 steps, without any speed Perks. Even if you do not win any Coins, your pet will walk the default 3 steps; however, if you win a lot of coins, your pet will walk or run more than 3 steps according to how big your win is! What is all this walking for? To reach a boss! Your pet will then fight the boss in an epic slot machine reel spinning battle! Don't worry, your pet cannot be hurt; only the boss will ever lose hit points. =)
Each pet has different Perks. These Perks can give you extra gems, extra experience, extra speed, extra collection items, or extra power. Each Pet comes with Perk 1 when you receive it. You must use your pet to level them up in order to gain Perk 2 and Perk 3. The steps that your pet takes will accumulate to level them up.
- Gems are used to purchase items within the game, such as pets or collection items (Gems)
- Experience gained will fill up your experience bar to level you up at which point you receive a level up bonus (Experience)
- Speed makes your pet walk extra steps each time you spin and will get you to the boss fight faster (Speed)
- Collection items can be turned in for coins or other collection items of higher value (Collections)
- Power helps your pet to do more damage to the boss (Boss Fights)
Your pet can enter at least one type of Room. There are four types of rooms: Land, Air, Water, and Space. The only pet that can enter ALL FOUR types of rooms is Lucrezia, the ghost.
The pet you start the game with is Puss N' Boots. It is up to YOU to decide which type of Perk you feel is most important!
Personally, I like to collect lots of gems. =)
